MY GO-TO BUSY GAL TREADMILL ROUTINE

As you may know, I have been in the health and fitness scene for a while now, trust me when I say I have tried everything from heavy weight training, pilates, yoga, spin, running, sprinting, HIIT… literally anything and everything. I do have my soft spot for pilates and that is usually my go to workout. BUT, during the pandemic I got to walking (as I’m sure a lot of you did to), and did a lot of it. I said goodbye to my gym membership and transitioned to pilates and walking, which I have to say has been such a positive change for me and my body.

It’s been what, 2? 3? years since the pandemic and I still hold to the same routine, now, just more efficient. And who doesn’t love efficiency? I recently just got my gym membership back since I don’t have an at-home treadmill (yet), and I have to say it’s the best thing I have ever done.

Don’t get me wrong, I love walking outside, but sometimes the temperature is a litttttle too chilly for me and I like to adjust the incline and speed. After tons of research, podcast listening, and book reading, I have the perfect treadmill recipe to help tighten and tone the body. And the best part, you can multitask and do work on your phone (which I will get into the exact work I am doing in a sec).

The recipe for a productive day is below:

*a pair of Glow Band bottoms doesn’t hurt either!

& here’s why. This combo has been proven to aid in weight loss, strengthening your bones, and builds muscle. It’s also extremely attainable to walk this for 40-60 minutes, and during this time you can make a dent in your to-do list.

When I get on the treadmill, I always make sure I have a pair of Glow Band leggings on, my Stanley cup,  and good background noise (podcast or a fun playlist). I start out with some DMs for about 15-20 minutes. This means answering DMs, comments, and sending DMs to those who may not know about Emma Lou yet. Then, I plan my Instagram post and stores for the day (or next couple of days). This is me editing photos, re-posting a tagged post, or scouting for some new content for the feed.

At this point I am at the 30 minute treadmill mark. I usually plan my day at this point and see which calls I have and how I can maximize my time. The last 10 minutes is me answering emails and texts and the 40 minutes is up before you know it.

And voila! There is so much you can get done while on the treadmill with some supportive, comfy shoes and an Emma Lou set.

If you try this, I want to hear about it! Let me know how it goes.

xx

Emma
